Football Recap: Shaler Area Starts Season with Loss at Home

Shaler Area unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 32-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Butler Golden Tornado on Friday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Tornado apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Mark Klemz went supernova For Butler., rushing for 136 yards and two scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaler Area will welcome South Fayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Butler, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Brashear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
