Volleyball Recap: Gibbon Buffaloes vs. Sandy Creek Cougars

Gibbon extended their losing streak to 11 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-16. They came up short against the Sandy Creek Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Cove Fries paced Gibbon's offense, picking up three kills. Fries got some help from Claire Clark and her six assists. Kassandra Trevino controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Coming up, Gibbon will challenge Kenesaw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandy Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wilber-Clatonia on the 27th.
