Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Unity Christian Academy and Morgan Park Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Unity Christian Academy had to settle for second. They fell 57-45 to the Morgan Park Academy Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-24 back in January.

Tiara Williams was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 35 points and 11 rebounds for Morgan Park Academy. Williams has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Anna Sheppard was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Unity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Morgan Park Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-6.

Unity Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan Park Academy, they will face off against Amboy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Amboy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
