Basketball Game Preview: Potosi Trojans vs. Farmington Knights

The Potosi Trojans will head out to square off against the Farmington Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Potosi is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Potosi will bounce into Monday's contest after beating North County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Potosi walked away with a 47-40 victory over North County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Farmington). They blew past Ste. Genevieve 77-27 on Thursday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Dragons are ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Potosi's record is now 13-2. As for Farmington, their record now sits at 10-6.

Potosi took a serious blow against Farmington when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 87-56. Can Potosi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
