Softball Recap: Gordo Comes Up Short

The Gordo Green Wave came up short against the Thomasville Tigers on Friday and fell 7-4.

Isabella Billings was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Gordo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Thomasville, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-5.

Coming up, Gordo will be playing at home against Demopolis at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomasville, they will head out to take on John Carroll Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.13 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
