Softball Recap: Mabton Comes Up Short

Mabton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 18-14 to the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Friday.

Mabton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tri-Cities Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Mabton is taking a road trip to take on Brewster at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they will host Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
