Baseball Game Preview: Harpeth Indians vs. East Hickman County Eagles

For the second straight game, Harpeth will face off against East Hickman County. The Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Harpeth was able to grind out a solid win over East Hickman County, taking the game 5-2. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Hudson Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aaron Higgs was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Ealy, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Harpeth's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for East Hickman County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Harpeth has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Hickman County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
