Preview: Indian Lake Lakers vs. Versailles Tigers
The Indian Lake Lakers on the road again on Monday and play against the Versailles Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on January 15th. Indian Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 577th, while Versailles is ranked 122nd).
On Saturday, Indian Lake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to Graham Local.
Meanwhile, Versailles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Arcanum 70-30 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Versailles has posted against Arcanum since December 19, 2016.
Indian Lake's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Versailles, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Indian Lake suffered a grim 57-31 defeat to Versailles in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Indian Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
