While Palatka's victory against Matanzas wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Palatka came out on top in a nail-biter against Matanzas on Friday, sneaking past 6-5. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Mason Malloy, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Paxton Sweat, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Palatka hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

The victory got Palatka back to even at 7-7. As for Matanzas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Palatka wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Father Lopez on the 24th. As for Matanzas, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Vanguard on the 17th.
