Softball Preview: Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars vs. Baldwinsville Bees
The Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars will face off against the Baldwinsville Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cicero-North Syracuse is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
On Monday, Cicero-North Syracuse made easy work of Fayetteville-Manlius and carried off a 12-6 victory. The Northstars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.
Aubrey Coyle was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Jaquin, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Cicero-North Syracuse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Baldwinsville posted their closest win since March 29, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Shaker 9-7. The Bees' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
