With a playoff win on the line, Spruce Mountain rose to the challenge on Saturday. They breezed past the Lake Region Lakers to the tune of 44-8. Considering the Phoenix have won six matchups by more than 29 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Spruce Mountain to victory were Dylan Jewett and Owen Kelvey. Jewett rushed for 113 yards and two scores on only 15 carries, while Kelvey gained 199 total yards and a touchdown. Kelvey got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Richards, who picked up 30 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
