Baseball Recap: Parkview Baptist's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Parkview Baptist was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in February.

Parkview Baptist's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Lutheran South Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-1-1.

Parkview Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Terrebonne on the 8th. As for Lutheran South Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Concordia Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Concordia Lutheran has won three straight at home, while Lutheran South Academy won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
