Soccer Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage was the 3-2 winner over Palo Duro when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Coyotes opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 defeat to the Dons. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Heritage came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Palo Duro are ranked 388th).

Heritage's goal came courtesy of Hayden Gibb, who's now up to two this season.

Heritage now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Palo Duro, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Castleberry on the 8th. As for Palo Duro, they have also already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Cleburne on the 8th.
