Volleyball Recap: Butternut Falls to Three Lakes in First Game of Season

Butternut had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Three Lakes Bluejays by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Midgets haven't had much luck with the Bluejays recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 12-15.

Gianna Nahring paced Butternut's offense, picking up nine kills. Nahring got some help from Lizzie Pritzl and her 11 assists. Finally, Nahring was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Three Lakes has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Butternut has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Oneida Nation/Providence Academy on the 26th. As for Three Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Gresham Community on the 26th.
