The Tri Titans will face off against Purdue Poly Englewood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Tri put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-9 victory over Anderson Prep Academy. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Jets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Karter Lunsford made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Tri let James Burke and Braxton Miller run wild. Burke went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Miller got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those two runs gave Burke a new career-high. Patrick Baker was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Tri always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Purdue Poly Englewood gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener back in April. They were the clear victors by a 24-2 margin over Providence Cristo Rey.
Kin Chow and Nevan Jeffers made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Chow pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Meanwhile, Jeffers tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Chow got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Jeffers got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Chow has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Diego Briceno Vega was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alvaro Sanchez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Tri's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-12-1. As for Purdue Poly Englewood, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
