Basketball Game Preview: West Caldwell Warriors vs. Patton Panthers

The West Caldwell Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Patton Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Caldwell's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matches, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-12, which was the final score in West Caldwell's tilt against Hibriten on Friday.

Meanwhile, Patton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 60-19 defeat at the hands of Polk County. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Wolverines are ranked 26th).

West Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Patton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

West Caldwell strolled past Patton when the teams last played back in November by a score of 36-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Caldwell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
