Basketball Recap: Gateway Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against First Baptist Academy, Gateway Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the River City Believers Academy Soldiers, sneaking past 39-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since November 18, 2023.

With the win, Gateway Christian broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. As for River City Believers Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Gateway Christian will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Sunnybrook Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sunnybrook Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. As for River City Believers Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on First Baptist Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th.
