Basketball Recap: Landon Osswald Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Franklin Central

Hamilton Southeastern won the last time they faced Franklin Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hamilton Southeastern Royals strolled past the Franklin Central Flashes with points to spare, taking the game 72-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

Hamilton Southeastern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Osswald, who went 7 of 13 en route to 14 points along with eight boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave Osswald a new career-high in assists. Luke Weemer was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Hamilton Southeastern's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10. As for Franklin Central, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton Southeastern will head out to square off against Indianapolis Metropolitan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Greenfield-Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
