Baseball Recap: Marquez Takes a Loss

Marquez suffered their closest loss since February 19th on Thursday. They fell just short of the Torres Toros by a score of 6-4. The Gladiators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Toros earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Anthony Molina was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jason Gutierrez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The defeat snapped Marquez's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-7 record. As for Torres, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Marquez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Maywood CES on the 5th. As for Torres, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 defeat against Sotomayor on the 5th.
