Softball Game Preview: Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors vs. Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors

Tuscaloosa Christian will square off against Tuscaloosa Home Educators at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Friday just wasn't the day for Tuscaloosa Christian's offense. They came up short against Russell Christian Academy on Friday, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, Tuscaloosa Christian's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Addison Blackmon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Williams, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa Home Educators was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to Ezekiel Academy. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Warriors haven't been shut out since back in March.

Tuscaloosa Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
