Basketball Recap: New Dimensions Comes Up Short

New Dimensions lost against Liberty back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. New Dimensions took a blow against the Liberty Chargers, falling 92-40. While losing is never fun, New Dimensions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 667th, while Liberty is ranked 134th).

Liberty found their leader in sophomore Lamar Lee, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. Lee is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 34 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tijay Jones, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 16 points.

New Dimensions' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Liberty, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

New Dimensions will welcome Lakeland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty has already played their next matchup, a 52-50 loss against Poinciana on the 8th.
