For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Norton and Hoxie have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Bluejays walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bluejays also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.
Norton never let Hoxie on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16.
Audrey Bina paced Norton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bina got some help from Leah Clark and her 24 assists. Olivia Alexander controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
With the win, Norton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-7. As for Hoxie, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
Coincidentally, Norton and Hoxie will both be playing Trego the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will host the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
