Hamilton waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the CORE Butte Lynx 3-0. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Lynx walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

While Hamilton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, CORE Butte had strong showings from Macey Ascherman, who had four digs and one block, and Zoe Newton, who had eight digs. Ascherman has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for CORE Butte, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Live Oak on the 28th. After both having extra time off, CORE Butte and Williams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
