Hamilton had won four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 8-1 to make it five. They blew past the CORE Butte Lynx 3-0. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Lynx walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, CORE Butte fell to 2-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, CORE Butte had strong showings from Macey Ascherman, who had four digs and one block, and Zoe Newton, who had eight digs. Ascherman is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Live Oak on the 28th. As for CORE Butte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Williams on the 4th.
