The Winamac Warriors will square off against the Bremen Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Winamac's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against North White as they made off with an 11-0 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Brody Wenzler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Brayden Mathias was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Winamac: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Xavier Adriano, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bremen had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They blew past the Blazers 9-1.
Casey Ton looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Bremen got a big performance out of Zack Buszkiewicz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagen Culp, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bremen's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Winamac, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.
