Softball Recap: Holy Child Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Holy Child's offense. They fell just short of the King Vikings by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Gryphons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Holy Child saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Lanuza, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Lanuza's first of the season.

Holy Child's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for King, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Holy Child does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for King, they will challenge Hopkins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
