Volleyball Recap: Westlake Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Westlake unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the North Salem Tigers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since September 9, 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-21.

North Salem was led to victory by Sophia Miller and Cora Kennedy. Miller had four digs and four aces, while Kennedy had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Miller has posted since back in September of 2024.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westlake will welcome Haldane at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Salem, they will challenge Briarcliff at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
