Volleyball Recap: Winside Wildcats vs. Bloomfield Bees
Winside lost against Bloomfield back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Winside Wildcats fell just short of the Bloomfield Bees by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bees recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Winside started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 16-14.
Even though they lost, Winside was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Bloomfield was led to victory by Brena Johnson and Haley Eisenhauer. Johnson had ten digs, while Eisenhauer had 12 digs, nine kills, and two aces.
Winside's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bloomfield, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Winside will take on Walthill on Monday. As for Bloomfield, they will welcome Homer on Monday. Homer will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bloomfield surely won't give up without a fight.
