Baseball Recap: Blair Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Blair ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past Platte Valley 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Jake Gaskill looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Blair is 2-1 when Gaskill allows one or fewer hits, but 4-15 otherwise.

At the plate, Brevin Leggott was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jackson Livingston also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

The win snapped Blair's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-16 record. As for Platte Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Blair wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against Elkhorn North on the 29th. As for Platte Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-1 defeat against Mount Michael Benedictine on the 26th.
