Recap: Corona del Mar Sea Kings vs. Yorba Linda Mustangs
The Corona del Mar Sea Kings extended their postseason success on Friday against the Yorba Linda Mustangs. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Mustangs. The victory was nothing new for Corona del Mar as they're now sitting on four straight.
Corona del Mar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Annett Kaleb out in front who threw for 219 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Russell Weir, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Yorba Linda still got an impressive performance from Holden Nagin, who threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns.
Corona del Mar pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.33 points. As for Yorba Linda, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Corona del Mar will take on La Serna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Serna has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 408 points over their last eight games. Yorba Linda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
