Baseball Recap: Innovation's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Innovation walked away with it. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Lake Buena Vista Vipers on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in March.

Innovation got a massive performance out of Sebastian Perez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Tyler Nunez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Innovation was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Innovation moved to 8-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lake Buena Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Innovation will take on Sebring at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Blue Streaks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Lake Buena Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
