Football Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Freeport was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by the Imani Christian Academy Saints 53-7. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Saints are ranked 33rd).

Freeport has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Imani Christian Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Looking ahead, Freeport will challenge Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.9 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Imani Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
