Baseball Recap: University Charter Starts Season with Defeat at Home

University Charter unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Millry Wildcats on Thursday, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trail Blazers have suffered since March 11, 2024.

University Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Gibson, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, University Charter will square off against Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Millry, they will challenge Clarke County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
