Basketball Game Preview: Brookville Blue Devils vs. Valley View Spartans

Brookville and Valley View are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Brookville Blue Devils will welcome the Valley View Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Brookville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past Tri-County North 69-24. That looming 69-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Meanwhile, Valley View hadn't done well against Franklin recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Valley View slipped by Franklin 74-73. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Valley View's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.6 points per game. As for Brookville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
