Softball Recap: McKay Royal Scots vs. Crescent Valley Raiders

McKay extended their losing streak to 15 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-15 in the process. They lost 14-3 to the Crescent Valley Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royal Scots of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Crescent Valley, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 23rd (when they won 21-6).

For Crescent Valley's part, Saylor Zimmerman looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKay will venture away from home to take on South Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saxons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.56 runs per game on average), something the Royal Scots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crescent Valley, they will challenge Corvallis at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
