Soccer Game Preview: South Beauregard vs. Tioga

The South Beauregard Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Tioga Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

South Beauregard fell victim to St. Louis Catholic and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 5-0 to the Saints. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Saints: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Tioga kept a clean sheet against Natchitoches Central on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Chiefs out 1-0.

South Beauregard's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Tioga, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

South Beauregard took their win against Tioga in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Beauregard since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
