Volleyball Game Preview: Roy Royals vs. Viewmont Vikings

Roy is 0-3 against Viewmont since April of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Royals will head out to take on the Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Roy didn't have quite enough to beat Woods Cross and fell 3-2. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roy took Woods Cross into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 16-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Viewmont faced Box Elder in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bees. The Vikings have beaten the Bees the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bees has come to flipping the script.

Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Roy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Roy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Viewmont in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Royals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
