Soldotna came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Palmer Moose with a sharp 23-1 victory. The Stars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by nine runs or more this season.

Soldotna's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
