Baseball Recap: Napoleon Takes a Loss

Napoleon has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets, falling 10-4. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost five in a row.

Napoleon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rowan Bostelman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Another was Paul Sausser, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5-1. As for Perrysburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Napoleon will challenge Wauseon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Perrysburg, they will face off against Anthony Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
