Eastport-South Manor gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the East Hampton-Bridgehampton-Pierson Bonackers 18-17. For the Sharks, this counts as revenge for the 42-7 victory the Bonackers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.
Matthew Beardsley looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 156 yards and three TDs.
Eastport-South Manor wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 31-14 win against Harborfields on the 20th.
