After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Auburn, Maroa-Forsyth was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Riverton Hawks 19-3. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Maroa-Forsyth got a massive performance out of Adelyn Simmons, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Simmons has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Ravenscraft, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Maroa-Forsyth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverton only managed eight hits.

The win snapped Maroa-Forsyth's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-8 record. As for Riverton, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Looking ahead, Maroa-Forsyth will be playing at home against Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sages' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Riverton, they will take on North Mac at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
