Basketball Recap: City Honors Comes Up Short

City Honors lost against East back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The City Honors Centaurs fell 53-41 to the East Panthers. The Centaurs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

East was led to victory by Antoine Williams and Dallas Hernandez. Williams went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points and five rebounds, while Hernandez dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tendai Furbert, who posted 13 points.

City Honors' record now sits at 1-7. As for East, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. City Honors has already played their next matchup (against Buffalo Academy for Visual & Performing Arts), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East is taking a road trip to challenge Buffalo Culinary Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Buffalo Culinary Arts' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
