Jenaya Bracey paced Waterbury Career Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bracey got some help from Najla Bush and her 17 assists. Finally, Jaelynn Sanchez kept Waterbury Career Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Despite the loss, Torrington had strong showings from Piper Robinson, who had eight digs and two aces, and Anna Slate, who had four digs, three aces, and one block.

Waterbury Career Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Torrington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
