Basketball Recap: Waco Christian Takes a Loss

Waco Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 49-37 to the Johnson County Sports Association Lions.

Johnson County Sports Association found their leader in sophomore Tucker Grayson, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grayson has scored all season. Jason Calaway was another key player, putting up two points along with seven assists, four steals, and four blocks.

Waco Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Johnson County Sports Association, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Waco Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Faith Academy of Freestone at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
