Volleyball Recap: Kaiser Comes Up Short

Kaiser was the 3-1 winner over Grand Terrace when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Tuesday. While the Cats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Titans 25-19 in the first set.

Kaiser started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 25-11, 25-12.

Grand Terrace's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paulina Aguayo, who had six digs and two aces. What's more, Aguayo posted four assists, the most she's had since back in August.

Kaiser has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season. As for Grand Terrace, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Kaiser will head out on the road to take on Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grand Terrace, they will head out to face off against Rim of the World at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
