Bullitt East came tearing into Monday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted against the Centurions since May 2, 2017.

Cooper Warnecke looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Chase Meredith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Colin Feger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bullitt East pushed their record up to 17-3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Bullitt East and Christian Academy-Louisville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Chargers will challenge Holy Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (8 vs. 178). Meanwhile, Christian Academy-Louisville (ranked 48th) will meet Christian Educational Consortium (ranked 192nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
