Baseball Recap: Central Noble Takes a Loss

Central Noble dropped their record down to 4-9 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 15-5 to the Angola Hornets. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 12-8 to the Hornets when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Central Noble saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Boots, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

As for Angola, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Angola's side, Myles Steury was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Steury a new career-high. Jackson Steury was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Central Noble has already played their next game, an 11-3 loss against West Noble on the 16th. As for Angola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-9 win against Bronson on the 17th.
