Soccer Recap: Leeds Comes Up Short

Leeds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Briarwood Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, Leeds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Briarwood Christian are ranked 26th).

Leeds' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-3. As for Briarwood Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Leeds has already played their next match (against John Carroll Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Briarwood Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hewitt-Trussville at 5:30 p.m. on April 1. Hewitt-Trussville's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
