The Lawrence Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Shawnee Mission North Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Lawrence is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kansas' top teams: Mill Valley, who was ranked 21st at the time (Lawrence was ranked fifth). The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars on Thursday. The loss was Lawrence's first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Patrick Sandefur, who's now up to 16 this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Shawnee Mission North's offense. They fell just short of Olathe South by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Shawnee Mission North have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lawrence fell to 7-1. As for Shawnee Mission North, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went Lawrence's way against Shawnee Mission North in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Lawrence made off with a 5-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
