Basketball Recap: Hyde Park Comes Up Short

Hyde Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brighter Horizons Academy Stars.

Hyde Park's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Brighter Horizons Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hyde Park Panthers duke it out with the Grace Community Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighter Horizons Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brighter Horizons Academy is facing Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy at the right time seeing as Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy is stuck on a 22-game losing streak.
